LinkedIn’s new look: How to connect to 3rd connections on LinkedIn?

LinkedIn has removed the “Connect” button from 3rd degree connections on the “Who’s viewed you profile page” section and hidden it from members profile pages too.

At first glance it may look like you can only connect to 2nd connections now and that you need to use InMail to connect to any 3rd connections.

Now, we know InMails have a lower response rate than invitations to connect and they are also expensive, so here is the way to connect to those 3rd degree connections.

Click on the name of the person you want to connect.

Their profile page appears.

Before, you had a “Connect” button next to the “View in Sales Navigator” button, right?

Well, now, you need to click on the three dots on the top right-hand corner of their profile.

And there it is!

You can now send your invitation to connect the way you always have!
