Target Internet’s digital marketing skills benchmark assesses your digital skills in a variety of digital marketing disciplines against industry standards and best practice according to main job focus, level of seniority and industry sector.
Our experts have formulated a series of questions based on industry best practice as determined by leading industry institutions like Google and the Chartered Institute of Marketing to assess your skills and identify your digital skills gaps.
And how long will it take?
The process will take no more than 20 minutes. You start by creating a free account and complete the registration fields, which enable us to identify your level of seniority, the focus of your role and your industry sector.
Then you will be asked a series of questions across digital marketing disciplines from Analytics & Data through to Usability. These questions align your knowledge with industry best practice to identify your strengths and weaknesses.
Finally, you will see your results in the form of a spider chart and written analysis. You are also able to check your results against different markers. We then provide you with suggested (free and paid for) content to address your knowledge gaps and the option to sign up to a 14 day free trial of our digital marketing online courses.
The chart illustrates where your skills are in relation with the markers selected (seniority, focus of your role, industry) – these can be changed so you can pitch yourself against different markers.
We also provide you with a short written analysis of your results highlighting your strengths and where your skills gaps are.
This section offers content to address your digital skills gaps. We provide free access to blogs, videos and podcasts and you can also access a 14 day free trial of our digital marketing online courses.
You will now create an account and see a series of questions to assess your current skills and benchmark you against industry data.
The aim is to highlight ways in which you can improve your skills and achieve your career and business objectives.
The questions cover a wide range of digital topics and vary from beginner to advanced level questions. If you do not know the answer to a question DO NOT GUESS as this will skew the benchmark results. Simply select “Not sure” if you don’t know the answer, and move on.
Don’t worry if you skip lots, or even the majority of questions. This is perfectly normal.
The process should take no more than 20 minutes, although you may complete it much more quickly.
