The long awaited Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) is finally available in the UK this week but so far very few have actually seen it. Research in Motion (RIM) announced its new operating system, BBX, at its annual developers conference on Tuesday. The new system will pull together existing BlackBerry elements with the best bits of its QNX system which it acquired last year through the purchase of QNX Software Systems. Microsoft announces Window 8 operating system. Windows has previewed its new operating system which it claims is a significant step forward from Windows 7, and is now fully designed to work as well on tablet as it does on desktop. Home Office calls meeting for social networks Following on from the recent riots the Government is considering putting measure in place which limit the use of social networking sites during times of trouble in the UK.
